The wines of Vérité, which means “truth” in French, are crafted through a blend of old world expertise and new world fruit. Each wine represents a unique combination of components sourced from small vineyard blocks, resulting in a carefully balanced integration of grape varieties, climate, soil characteristics, and winemaking techniques. This approach is termed “droit du sol,” or “right of the soil,” by vigneron Pierre Seillan. Vérité is committed to producing uncompromising wines that authentically express their terroir. One notable example is Vérité Le Désir, a Cabernet Franc-based blend that showcases vibrant aromatics, an iron graphite core, and significant minerality. Drawing inspiration from the renowned wines of Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux, Le Désir reinterprets Cabernet Franc in the New World with its concentrated fruit flavors, exotic spices, and a luxurious sueded texture. To create the complex signature of Le Désir, Pierre Seillan manages over fifty micro-crus.
