Years ago we partnered with Wild Rose Brewery, where they borrowed 8 wet Canadian Whisky barrels to age a Belgium Blonde Beer for 6 months. They removed their liquid to create their limited production beer. The barrels were returned and we have put whisky in them to age and imbue some of the flavour of the beer. We transferred 6-year-old, 100% rye distillate; and aged a further 2 years, so it is now 8 years old bottled at 46%.
